ABOUT “FOOTPRINTS IN MY HEART”
Our story begins where a friendship probably should have stayed — before crossing the line into something much more complicated. She thought they had become a couple; apparently he had other ideas. Now he’s disappeared without an explanation, leaving behind a broken heart, a lot of questions and the emotional tracks of what they shared. But she isn’t quite ready to let him disappear. Hurt, confused and still holding on, she decides that if all he left were footprints, maybe she’ll follow them — and her heart — to find him again.
Lyrics
[Verse 1]
It was fun when we were just good friends
Love got messy, I don't comprehend
I regret that night I let you stray
You broke my heart I know it's so cliché
I was crushed and I was so naive
You know you lied, you said you'd never leave
Wild'n out with you was so insane
But now I pay the price, I feel this pain
[Pre-Chorus]
And it hurts so bad
Step by step why did you go ooh whoa ooh
[Chorus]
You left Footprints in My Heart, you left
You left Footprints in My Heart, you left
You left Footprints in My Heart...
When you walked away
When you walked away
[Instrumental]
[Verse 2]
We hooked up I thought you understood
I was your girl and that it was all good
You ghosted me and all you left were tracks
I'll follow my heart; I'll get you back
[Pre-Chorus]
And it hurts so bad
Step by step why did you go ooh whoa ooh
[Chorus]
You left Footprints in My Heart, you left
You left Footprints in My Heart, you left
You left Footprints in My Heart...
When you walked away
When you walked away
[Bridge]
Where are you baby
How will I find you
And it hurts so bad
Step by step why did you go ooh whoa ooh
[Chorus]
You left Footprints in My Heart, you left
You left Footprints in My Heart, you left
You left Footprints in My Heart...
When you walked away
When you walked away...
