ABOUT “RAZOR’S EDGE”
She’s eighteen, reckless, and convinced there’s always another level to reach. With Daddy’s Porsche 944, L.A. dreams, a taste for the social scene and an appetite for more, “Razor’s Edge” follows a young woman who seems to have everything — except an off switch. The song plays with that dangerous moment when excitement becomes excess and being on top of the world leaves only one direction to go. “Too much is not enough” becomes the warning underneath it all, as diamonds turn to dust and she keeps dancing closer to the edge.
Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Daddy's car is a Porsche nine, forty-four
He leaves the keys dangling outside the door
At eighteen she's a dopamine queen, quite reckless
Tempting fate, her soul is so selfish
[Pre-Chorus]
'Cause too much is not enough
As diamonds turn to dust
Trying to find a fix
Her anxious heart, takes the risk
[Chorus]
She's dancing on the Razor's Edge
She's dancing beneath the blade of life
And She's dancing on the Razor's Edge
The Razor's Edge tonight
[Verse 2]
L.A. dreams and the social scene are so giving
Everyone knows her name, she’s still winning
On top of the World, she just can’t get no higher
It’s a long way down, her fate is on fire
[Pre-Chorus]
'Cause too much is not enough
As diamonds turn to dust
Trying to find a fix
Her anxious heart, takes the risk
[Chorus]
She's dancing on the Razor's Edge
She's dancing beneath the blade of life
And She's dancing on the Razor's Edge
The Razor's Edge tonight
[Solo]
[Verse 3]
Pushing through the limit, breaking the speed of sound
Now in another world, still wears her broken crown
[Pre-Chorus]
Too much was not enough
Diamonds turn to dust
Trying to find a fix
Her anxious heart, took the risk
[Final Chorus]
She's dancing on the Razor's Edge
She's dancing beneath the blade of life
And she's dancing on the Razor's Edge
The Razor's Edge,
[Outro]
She’s dancing on theRazor's Edge
She’s dancing beneath the blade of life
She’s dancing on the Razor's Edge,
the Razor's Edge … tonight
