ABOUT “LOVE ISN’T LOVE”
“Love Isn’t Love” starts with a songwriter who can’t find the words — until he realizes the answer isn’t in the rhyme or melody, but in what he’s willing to give. From there, the song opens into a simple idea: love doesn’t mean much sitting quietly inside us. It becomes something real when we put it into the World. With a little optimism, a little harmony and an unapologetically hopeful outlook, “Love Isn’t Love” asks what might happen if each of us gave just a little more — enough, perhaps, to turn the gray skies of Winter into the colors of Spring.
Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Once upon a time, I couldn't write a line
Had no melody, couldn't find a rhyme
What I didn't know, I had to let it flow
Had to fix my heart, had to let it grow
Listen to the lyrics in this song I wrote
You can sing along, note for note
It's' better to give, then to receive
Cause what you get back is harmony
[Pre-Chorus]
You and I we gotta get it together
You and I we can make this world better!
[Chorus]
Love isn't Love 'til you give it away
Don't you keep it inside, live it every day
Sing from your heart, give everything
We'll turn the gray skies of Winter, to the colors of Spring
[Verse 2]
There's magic in our hearts you must believe
The truth's right here, gotta keep it real
People on the planet, need to understand
Gotta give love, that's the plan
It's all good, it's all right
Angels up above shining peace and light
The bells, they ring, the choir sings
Ya gotta learn to give, it's everything
[Pre- Chorus]
You and I we gotta get it together
You and I we're gonna make this world better
[Chorus]
Love isn't Love 'til you give it away
Don't you keep it inside, live it every day
Sing from your heart, give everything
We'll turn the gray skies of Winter, to the colors of Spring
[Outro]
Love isn't Love 'til you give it away
Don't you keep it inside, live it every day
Sing from your heart, give everything
We'll turn the gray skies of Winter, to the colors of Spring
